The Research Behind the Clinical Micro-Impact Platform®
The mechanism is mechanotransduction; the process your patients' cells already use to convert physical force into a biological signal. Juvent didn't invent the process. It built the advanced instrument that delivers it precisely: 0.3–0.4g, at 32–37 Hz, moving the body approximately 0.05mm; the equivalent of two thin sheets of paper stacked.
Juvent's own platform has been studied in postural instability after bed rest, perimenopausal leg-fluid flow, postmenopausal bone loss, musculoskeletal health in young women with low bone mineral density, and in pediatric cancer survivors.
That last one is published: a 2016 study in JAMA Oncology found that among participants who completed 70% or more of prescribed sessions, tibial trabecular bone mineral density increased by a mean of 11.2% (Mogil RJ et al., JAMA Oncology 2016;2(7):908–914; principal investigator Kirsten K. Ness, PT, PhD).
Separately, a broader body of peer-reviewed literature addresses low-magnitude mechanical stimulation on its own terms. That literature supports the mechanism in general rather than this device specifically.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a specific patient population to justify buying one?
No. Most practices put it to work across whatever they already do (bone health, joint discomfort, circulation, balance work, recovery, performance), rather than building a program around it. It's also bought by practices where rehab isn't the primary offering: longevity and performance clinics, chiropractic offices, and training facilities, often as a standalone or membership service. The useful question isn't which patients need it; it's whether a new system will actually be used, and a modality like the Clinical HD, with no protocol to set, no setup, and no learning curve, tends to be.
Is a clinical vibration plate the same thing as a Micro-Impact Platform®?
No, and the difference is the number. One is an uncontrolled shaker at a fixed setting. The other interacts with the body standing on it. The Clinical HD holds 0.3–0.4g and sets its own frequency from the person standing on it. Same footprint, different dose, different reason to own one.
How is the Clinical HD different from a personal Micro-Impact Platform®?

What does the Juvent Clinical HD w/ASSIST cost?

What does ASSIST™ add?
Seated use. For patients with limited mobility or significant joint discomfort, ASSIST™ allows them to remain in a chair or walker while a staff member starts the unit using a wired foot switch. It's the difference between screening someone out and offering them something.
Who should not use the Platform?
Consult a physician before use if you're pregnant, or have congestive heart failure, a history of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, thrombophlebitis within the past five years, sensitivity to motion sickness, a known retinal condition, joint implants, a pacemaker or ICD, or recent spinal surgery. Screening and clearance remain with you; the Owner's Manual has the complete list.
Does adding the Platform require extra staff time?
No, and that's much of the point. The Platform reads each person's unique body composition at the start of the session and calibrates itself. A staff member starts the foot switch if the patient is standing or seated with ASSIST, and the unit resets on its own afterward.
