“Juvent is excited to be invited to continue our support and mission of this great foundation”Rush Simonson, Juvent CEO
Juvent continues to support the newly renamed National Osteoporosis Foundation to Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation. Juvent has been a member of this influential group of businesses and research groups who support and influence the direction of the foundation. “We are happy to see the new name reflect the expanded mission of the Foundation” says Juvent CEO Rush Simonson. We have been an active member for over 7 years and have advocated for an expanded mission statement to embrace both young and old. We believe that good bone health starts at a very early age and has a tremendous influence on bone health and density far into adulthood and senior life. Juvent’s technology is used extensively by researchers and hospitals that treat children and young adults for poor bone health.
Juvent believes that if parents and physicians can recognize the signs of poor bone health early on then they can be reversed and the very serious, life threatening complications can be avoided later in life. These risk factors include, poor diet, lack of impact exercise, and excessive sports activities particularly in young girls. Research now shows that young female athletes that stop having menses’ slow the development of healthy bone and the cause should be investigated and remedied early. Many times just slowing down training and stress is all it takes.
Juvent team members attend quarterly and annual meetings where the latest bone health research are discussed and clinicians and researchers discuss foundation priorities.
