Is the Juvent 1000 Dynamic Motion Therapy (DMT) Platform easy to use?
The Juvent 1000 is reasonably lightweight (20 lbs / 9.6 kg) and portable. It can be used in your home, office, or on vacation. You will have maximum therapeutic benefit by standing on the Juvent Platform in an upright relaxed stance (without footwear) for 20 minutes a day, five days a week. The medical device keeps track of your treatments for you.
What does a treatment feel like on the Juvent 1000? Is it safe?
The DMT vibrations are very gentle. The up and down movement is small - no bigger than the width of a few human hairs. Users describe the therapy as: relaxing, feels good, gentle vibrations. DMT is well within the safety limits set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 2631/3).

Can I use the Juvent 1000 with osteoporosis drugs?
There is no current publications or studies for the interaction between the Juvent 1000 and osteoporosis drugs. We recommend that you discuss this with your physician.
Does leaning on something during therapy affect the results?
Yes, either leaning on something or partially taking your weight off your feet can significantly reduce the efficiency of the Juvent technology. The microstrain that the body's skeleton is subject to, and is required particularly in the spine to control bone mineral density, needs to have equal weight on both feet. Also, make sure your knees are not bent during treatment. This will have the same negative effect. For best results, stand in an upright relaxed stance with equal weight on your feet.
Is there a stand available for patients who cannot easily stand by themselves?
Juvent is currently developing a sturdy, upright stand to ease the act of getting on and off the device, and keeping one stable during the 20 minute treatment time.
Is the unit suitable for multi-users or is it only designed for home usage by one person?
The Juvent 1000 is designed for one patient. The platform is durable and rugged so having 3-4 uses per day is no problem. The warranty will allow up to 4 uses daily.
About Dynamic Motion Therapy (DMT)
Decreased bone mineral density and increased fracture risk are a part of aging. Type IIa muscle fiber activity also declines with age, causing cardiovascular and postural stability changes. These changes can increase the risk of falls and bone fractures. One of the goals of DMT is to restore blood and lymph flow and cardiovascular performance.
Does DMT have any side effects?
No negative side effects have been reported with the Juvent 1000. We have only had people report positive effects during and after treatment. You should always consult your doctor before undertaking any medical treatment. Use of the Juvent 1000 is contraindicated for people with conditions in which an increase in fluid to the heart may be detrimental, which includes people with congestive heart failure.
What's the difference between Dynamic Motion Therapy (DMT) and whole body vibration (WBV)?
Juvent's research and Dynamic Motion Therapy technology do not have any relationship to the technology or claims made by whole body shaker/vibration machines. These WBV machines are sold for exercise and physical training and deliver a aggressive and forceful shaking motion. The Juvent 1000 delivers a very gentle, pure, low-level vertical movement to the skeleton. They are nothing alike.
The acceleration magnitudes used in WBV devices, approximately 8.0g to as high as 22.0g, are well beyond the limits recommended for human tolerance by ISO 2631 and OSHA standards, and should be considered dangerous to use, especially for the elderly. These machines deliver 10 to 25 times greater amplitude than the Juvent 1000. There is limited evidence that these devices do anything for bone.
