Dynamic Motion Therapy (DMT) is Safe Technology.
Not related to Whole Body Vibration (WBV).

DMT Technology is not related to Whole Body Vibration (WBV) Devices

WBV vibrations are well beyond the limits recommended for human tolerance by ISO, and should be considered dangerous to use, especially for the elderly. Juvent's Dynamic Motion Therapy technology does not have any relationship to the technology or claims made by whole body shaker/vibration machines. The acceleration magnitudes used in WBV devices, approximately 8.0g to as high as 22.0g, are well beyond the limits recommended for human tolerance by ISO, and should be considered dangerous to use, especially for the elderly. WBV platforms deliver an aggressive and forceful shaking motion, sometimes in multiple directions at the same time (up and down, front to back, and side to side), and are marketed as a form of exercise and physical training. WBV machines deliver vibration 10 to 25 times greater amplitude than the Juvent 1000.

By contrast, Juvent Dynamic Motion Therapy devices deliver a very gentle, pure, low-level vertical movement to the skeleton proven to be benficial. They are nothing alike. In a safety standard issued by the ISO, the signal used by the Juvent 1000 Platform (0.3g at 32-37 Hz) is indicated for safe use for exposures up to 4 hours per day.

Juvent Safe, Gentle Vibration

Low Magnitude Vibration - circulation, healing and maintaining tissue are goals of this vibration.

WBV Unsafe Aggressive

High Magnitude vibration - 10 times those of Juvent DMT are a risk to healing & frail tissue and bones, and elderly.

In summary

  • Juvent is safe: In a safety standard issued by the ISO, the signal used by the Juvent 1000 Platform (0.3g at 32-27 Hz) is indicated for safe use for up to 4 hours per day.
  • Juvent doesn't have any contraindications for use.
  • WBV machines list a dozen or more contraindications.
  • Most "Whole Body Vibration" (WBV) devices produce 8.0 to 22.0g.
  • WBV devices are well beyond the limits recommended for human tolerance by ISO 2631 and OSHA standards.
  • OSHA standards state that WBV devices should be considered dangerous to use, especially for the elderly.
  • There is little evidence that WBV devices do anything for bone.
